International athlete licences
An active licence connects an athlete’s verified federation registration with their eligibility for applicable World Gymnastics activities. The national federation remains the athlete’s first point of contact for applications, renewals and corrections.
What the licence supports
- Identification of the athlete in international entry and results systems.
- Confirmation that registration has been submitted through the responsible national federation.
- Accurate discipline, nationality and personal information for event administration.
- Consistent records when an athlete enters eligible international competitions.
Before entering an event
- Confirm that your name, date of birth, nationality and discipline details are correct.
- Ask your national federation whether the licence is active for the relevant competition period.
- Complete event-entry, eligibility, safeguarding and anti-doping requirements separately; a licence does not replace them.
- Allow enough time for your federation to resolve missing or mismatched information.
Application and renewal route
Athletes do not create or amend international licence records directly on this website. Requests should be sent to the athlete’s national federation, which verifies the information and coordinates the appropriate registration process.
Changes and corrections
Report spelling changes, citizenship updates, duplicate records or other errors to your federation. Include only the information it requests and avoid sending identity documents through public website forms.
Quick checklist
- My federation has my current contact and identity details.
- My discipline and competition eligibility are confirmed.
- My licence status has been checked before the entry deadline.
- I know whom to contact if the event entry does not match my record.
